Recent discussion of global climate change has moved from impact concerns into remedies and solutions to combat with the climate change. Agriculture is a human activity, however essential it is to lives, inevitably it also has a negative impact to the climate. However, the fundamental cause is attributable to the over-use or miss-use of fossil fuel as energy source. Through the lessons we all painfully have learned, low-carbon economy emerges as a proper response that is quickly embraced by many countries’ policy makers as an effective idea and approach to combat climate change. Agriculture stands on a strong position to make major contributions in low-carbon economy. In his report, we will suggest some potential areas whereby agriculture can make critical contributions in low-carbon economy and therefore, climate change.
