The low comprehensive mechanization rate in the hilly areas of Gansu, including the cultivation of staple grains, oil, and specialty crops. In response to this issue hindering the quality and efficiency of the agricultural industry, Gansu Province has established a provincial-level agricultural machinery equipment research and development platform known as the "One Center and Six Bases," led by Gansu Agricultural University and involving key agricultural machinery enterprises within the province. The initiative aims to synergize research, development, manufacturing, and application of agricultural machinery, driving integrated development. This report provides insights into the pilot program for integrated agricultural machinery research, development, manufacturing, and application in Gansu Province. In recent years, Gansu Agricultural University's dryland agricultural equipment research team has collaborated across academia, industry, and government to address the shortcomings and weaknesses in agricultural equipment. Their efforts have significantly reduced agricultural machinery's development, testing, and production cycles, resulting in the creation of more than 20 specialized machines, with most entering mass production by private enterprises. These advancements have contributed essential equipment support for efficiently producing specialty crops in Gansu Province.
