Research Interest:
Economic valuation of watershed, biodiversity conservation, carbon-fixing, forest recreation and non-timber forest products, traditional knowledge, costs and benefits of carbon sequestration in mangrove forests, addressing climate change through community-based fuelwood plantation management and development, comparative analyses of transitions to sustainable forest management and rehabilitation, forest restoration, agroforestry and biodiversity conservation, and economic valuation for sustainable mangrove ecosystem management in the Philippines.
Working Experience:
She is currently the Chair of DSFFG (2011-2014) and the Assistant Country Coordinator and Co-Project Leader of the ASEAN-Korea Environmental Cooperation Project (AKECOP) based at CFNR-UPLB (2001 to present) funded by the Korean Government.
She was also a Professorial Chair Awardee in 2006. Dr. Camacho has also participated in various local and international conferences/workshops/fora as keynote speaker, paper presenter, organizer, moderator or participant. Also, she has participated in local and international trainings as coordinator, organizer or resource person.
