Research Interests:
My group is interested in the field of plant cell wall biology, and we have addressed several longstanding questions in this area, including the use of co-expression to infer functionally related genes, the principles behind how cellulose synthesis is guided by the cytoskeleton, the mechanism behind how plants are internalizing proteins and compounds, and recently the mechanism for how plants can maintain their cellulose producing capacity during salt stress.
Professional Activities:
Peer review of numerous scientific journals and governmental funding agencies.
